Brady Dougan and Alexandra Phung won the boys’ and girls’ divisions of the Florida Junior Tour Pam McCloskey-Brosnihan Major at The Club at Quail Ridge in Boynton Beach. The two-day competition ended September 27, and the Florida State Golf Association published its recap that day.
Dougan followed an opening 69 with a final-round 62, a course record according to the FSGA. His 131 total finished three strokes ahead of Andrew Tsar, who shot 68 and 66.
Phung, the defending girls’ champion, opened with a 67 and closed with a 68 for a 135 total. Bella Simoes finished second at 137, according to the official tournament results.
The FSGA said 84 junior golfers competed in the ninth edition of the event, which honors Pam McCloskey-Brosnihan and her support of junior golf. The result adds a notable junior championship to Palm Beach County’s September golf calendar.
